With the Senior Affiliate Manager at Lock Poker confirming that they are leaving the Merge Network, online poker players are looking forward to some major changes in the online poker community. Lock Poker is taking over the Cake Poker Network although at present; there will be no plans will integrate Cake and Intertops Poker into one all-encompassing site. This may change at the moment but for now, it seems as those these sites will stand alone and Lock Poker will continue, albeit removed from the Merge Network.

Given that there are so many major promotions, tournaments and events taking place in the world of online poker, it takes something special to get people to sit up and take notice. This was definitely the case with the LOCKOPS promotion that was being heavily promoted by the Lock Poker site.

This looked to have the makings of a major tournament both financially and with respect to the kudos that would be on offer to the players who emerged triumphant at the end. With the chance to win seats at some of the biggest tournaments in world poker also up for grabs, it is easy to see why so many poker players were looking forward to this event.

Anytime a website has a countdown clock in operation, it is going to grab your attention. However, when the site in question is one of the most respected poker sites to be found on the internet, you just know that there is a buzz being created for this promotion. It may not be kicking off until the 6^th of May but the Lock Poker Lockops has managed to grab plenty of attention from an excited poker community.
